In the recent years, the explosive growth of online commerce environments has made available on the Internet an enormous number of goods. Almost everything can be found and bought from the net, often at a lower price of downtown stores. On the other side, the vast majority of small and local businesses (such as drug stores, hairdressers, cinemas, confectioner’s shops, etc.) hasn’t adopted any online commerce system and is struggling to reach people interested in their goods.
The objective of this project is to design and develop a generic infrastructure to recommend/propose localized events and goods at a reduced price to potentially interested users who are in the surroundings of the places where events occur or goods are sold.
